Why We Do It
Christmas time is a season of joy, peace, and wonder... for most people. For some, it can be a time of stress and disappointment, especially for parents who just want their kids to enjoy a little Christmas magic. Each year, individuals humble themselves to ask the public for assistance providing that magic for their kids on Christmas morning. In 2025, two individual running a local social media group felt convicted that no child should have to go through this wonderful time of year wondering why Christmas didn't come to them. This kicked off a grassroots effort online to pair families-in-need with generous "angels".
In total, 74 children had their needs met. Perhaps just as important, 38 families understood that as callous and harsh as the world can be, there are those who still want to embrace them.
In the weeks following this event, The Well recognized that this was a community need. As a community church, it is our job to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to get the support they need so that they... and their precious little ones... can form powerful family memories. More important than the wrapping and the bows are the heartwarming bonds families build around the traditions of this season. What a beautiful way to honor the unity we have in Christ by providing generous donors the ability to unify with those who could use a helping hand.

"Every child deserves to experience the wonder of Christmas."

Nearly 40 households and 75 smiling children, thanks to the generosity of the Bowling Green community.
