What A Wonderful World...

Sounds like a song, doesn’t it? Well, it is.

“What a Wonderful World” was written by George David Weiss and Robert Thiele in 1968 and famously sung by Louis Armstrong. Written during the Vietnam War, it was written and composed to try and bring hope to the millions of victims suffering the effects of the war.

I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom, for me and for you And I think to myself What a wonderful world I see skies of blue, and clouds of white The bright blessed days, dark sacred nights And I think to myself What a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands sayin' how do you do They're really sayin' I love you I hear babies cry, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know And I think to myself What a wonderful world Yes, I think to myself What a wonderful world Oh, yes

The news today is filled with negative, awful things. But there are still MANY blessings from GOD. Look around. So, meditate on the awful things or the things for which we can praise God? The answer does make a huge difference in our lives! Philippians 4:8 (ESV) admonishes: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
